The BA and BS Degrees in Chemistry
A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree may be earned with the basic chemistry, professional chemistry or biochemistry major. Only a Bachelor of Science degree may be earned if the two-year foreign language requirement is not completed. A Bachelor of Science degree may be earned with the chemistry-business administration major.
Professional Chemistry Major Requirements
Chemistry 118, 240, 280, 341, 351, 360, 370, 452, 461, 483, 490 (1 hour); one credit hour chosen from 371 493 (with lab), 495; Mathematics 211 or 221, 222 and 323; Physics 210 and 211.
Basic Chemistry Major Requirements
Chemistry 118, 240, 280, 341, 351, 360, 370, 371; one chosen from 452, 461 and 473/474, 483; Mathematics 211 or 221, and 222; Physics 121 and 122, or 210 and 211.
