The BA and BS Degrees in Chemistry

A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree may be earned with the basic chemistry, professional chemistry or biochemistry major. Only a Bachelor of Science degree may be earned if the two-year foreign language requirement is not completed. A Bachelor of Science degree may be earned with the chemistry-business administration major.

Professional Chemistry Major Requirements

Chemistry 118, 240, 341, 280, 351, 461, 370, 461, 490, 483, 490 (2 hours) and three credit hours course work, including 123 hours of lab work chosen from 371 473, 474,493,495; Mathematics 211, 212 or 221, 222 and 323; Physics 210 and 211.

Basic Chemistry Major Requirements

Chemistry 118, 240, 341, 280, 351; and three chosen from 341, 370 and 371, 452, 461 or 483; Mathematics 211, 212 or 221, 222; Physics 121, 122 or 210, 211.
